Srinagar Arrival and Mughal Gardens
Meet and pick-up from Srinagar airport and you will be escorted to hotel. Time at leisure and you will be served with hot Kashmir Tea (Also known as Kashmiri Kehwa).
Nishat Garden (Bagh)
Nishat Garden (Bagh) was designed and built in 1633 by Asif Khan, elder brother of Nur Jahan. Nishat Bagh, also known as the garden of joy, is a terraced Mughal garden sprawled along the eastern side of the Dal Lake, with the towering Zabarwan hills as its backdrop, in the city of Srinagar.
Shalimar Garden (Bagh)
Shalimar Bagh is the largest of all the Mughal gardens in Srinagar. It was built in 1619 by Mughal Emperor Jahangir to please his wife Nur Jahan.
The Chashmashahi or 'The Royal Springs' is one of the three Mughal Gardens in Kashmir. The garden was built around a fresh water spring that flows right through its centre and is the cause of the garden being named so. In the evening, shikara ride to the Dal Lake to visit Char Chinar. The Char Chinar, also known as Silver Island in the Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Srinagar to Baltal
Besides Pahalgam (Chandanwari), the yatra is also undertaken, on a shorter route, from Baltal (Sonamarg), which is about 96 kms from Srinagar.
Day 3: Amarnath Yatra
A trek to Shri Amarnath ji, has the devout flock to this incredible shrine, where the image of Lord Shiva, in the form of a Lingam, is formed naturally of ice - stalagmite, and which waxes and wanes with the moon. By its side are, fascinatingly, two more ice - lingams, that of Goddess Parvati and of their son, Shri Ganesha. When people heard of the Lingam, it became an abode of Lord Bholenath for all believers and a pilgrimage which is done by lakhs of people each year. Children who are below the age of 11 years and persons above the age of 75 years will not be eligible to undertake the Amarnath Yatra.
Day 4: Baltal to Srinagar via Sonmarg
After the darshan, our driver will meet you at Baltal Taxi Stand and you will be escorted to Srinagar for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Srinagar airport for departure with happy and prosperous moments of Amarnath Darshan
